Jerry and Linda venture a short distance outside The Villages to Lake Griffin State Park. While there, the Newcomers rented a canoe and traveled down the Dead River toward Lake Griffin. The Park is about a five minute drive from The Villages and features a campground, boat ramp, and canoe and kayak rental. There are hiking trails and the park has the oldest tree in Florida, a 400 year old live oak. Join Jerry, Linda and two friends as they explore this hidden treasure close to home.
